Our story

From a car-boot Mega Drive to a Shoreditch institution

A short, honest timeline of how a pile of secondhand consoles turned into East London's friendliest gaming den.

  1. 2013

Founders Marcus and Priya start flipping refurbished Mega Drives and N64s from a Brick Lane market stall on Sundays.

  2. 2016

The first unit on Great Eastern Street opens with six arcade cabinets and a single Warhammer table. Friday RPG nights sell out within a month.

  3. 2020

We add a full repair bench and start shipping restored consoles across the UK during lockdown, keeping the community connected online.

  4. Today

Twenty cabinets, twelve tabletop bays, monthly tournaments and a repair queue that never quite empties. Same two founders, still on the floor most nights.

How it works

Four steps from door to high score

01

Grab a day pass

Walk in or book online. A day pass is £9 and gives you unlimited arcade play plus access to the free-play lounge.

02

Pick your table

Reserve a tabletop bay for D&D, Warhammer or board games — £6 per person for three hours, dice and rulebooks included.

03

Join a session

Our game masters run beginner-friendly campaigns every Friday. Never rolled a d20? We'll get you playing in ten minutes.

04

Compete or repair

Enter a monthly tournament from £15, or drop off a poorly console at the repair bench for a free diagnostic.

Player love

What the regulars say

"I hadn't touched a controller since uni. Two hours on the Daytona cabinet and I was hooked. The staff actually remember your name by visit three."

Daniel R. — Hackney · March 2025

"Our whole D&D group moved here from a pub back room. Proper tables, quiet-ish corners and a GM who bailed us out when our story completely fell apart."

Aisha K. — Islington · January 2025

"They brought a water-damaged Game Boy back from the dead for £35. Honest quote up front, no upsell, and it plays Tetris like it's 1991 again."

Tom W. — Shoreditch · February 2025

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?

Walk-ins are always welcome for the arcade and free-play lounge. Tabletop bays and Friday RPG sessions do fill up, so we recommend booking a couple of days ahead through the contact form or by phone.

What are your opening hours?

We're open Tuesday to Thursday 3pm–11pm, Friday and Saturday midday–1am, and Sunday midday–9pm. We're closed on Mondays for maintenance and repairs.

Is it suitable for beginners and kids?

Absolutely. Our game masters run beginner-friendly campaigns and most cabinets are pick-up-and-play. Under-16s are welcome until 7pm with an adult; after that the den is 18+.

How much does a console repair cost?

Diagnostics are always free and take around 20 minutes for most handhelds. Common fixes like recapping or a new screen start from £35, and we'll always quote you before touching a soldering iron.
